For groups:

From grain to a drink
The history of Schiedam is unique because of the famous jenever industry, through which Schiedam became the birthplace of the Dutch national drink. The history of this product runs through Schiedam like a continuous thread. As part of this programme you will visit St.Jan’s Church, take a walk through the town centre and pay a visit to Het Jenever Museum and Museum Windmill De Nieuwe Palmboom.

High up
Not afraid of heights? Then this is a programme just for you! From the Euromast in Rotterdam you will have a fantastic view. In Schiedam you will visit Museum Windmill De Nieuwe Palmboom, which is one of the highest windmills in the world. A delicious lunch and a visit to Het Gedistilleerd Museum will make your day complete.

Boat trip along the Schiedam Canals
It is possible for groups to make a trip along the Schiedam canals in an open boat (called the “fluisterboot”). You can start your trip at any time, though not later than 22.00 hrs. It is also possible to choose the place of departure and arrival. The regular place is near Museum Windmill De Nieuwe Palmboom.
